Man. I keep trying to contain my excitement about Carson; reminding myself that it’s just one game. One game against the Browns, no less. But…Maaaaaaan:

WE HAVE A QB WHO CAN MAKE “DNA” MOTHER-EFFING THROWS, Y’ALL!!! Yep, I’m doing really well with the whole “contain my excitement” thing; but in my defense, I’ve been waiting a long time for a “DNA Throw” quarterback – I just didn’t know it was called that til Greg Cosell (via Fran) told me. Thanks guys; and check out Fran’s timeline (@fduffy3) for more of these fun film nuggets. Onto the links!!!
Let’s stick with the Wentz theme because I love him. Bill Barnwell wrote a nice piece about the three QB’s who started their first NFL games on Sunday. Plus, it’s fun to read about Wentz being better than Dak. #DallasSucks
Want more Wentz love? Good, because it’s coming: Here’s is Josh Paunil’s take, which includes some serious gushing from Zach Ertz (and more) who believes Wentz is “special.” And here’s Jeff McLane on how Wentz stayed “grounded in his dazzling debut.” And here’s Tim McManus, just for fun, on how Wentz “put the locker room at ease.” Remember that excitement thing I was talking about before? Hard to keep that at bay when I hear words like “special” and “dazzling;” help me out a little here you guys.
I’m certainly not going to get any help from Doug P (aka the only undefeated head coach in Eagles history – I think), as even the head coach was smitten with the ginger’s showing. I think I need to move on to some non-Wentz news to avoid any further stoking of the fire…
Here we go, not all is “exciting” right now with the Birds, as Pederson took time from praising Wentz to tell us that Leodis McKelvin and Zach Ertz both suffered injuries that make their status “week-to-week.” Well that’s certainly not dripping with optimism, Doug. I guess you get what you ask for huh? Sorry you guys, I’ll take this one on the chin. Oh for the times of the Wentz love…
The Ertz injury worries me the most; he’s a better player than McKelvin and also potentially the best offensive weapon the team has (other than Wentz; obviously). However, it doesn’t look like we’ll see Ertz anytime soon, as the “week-to-week” tag seems appropriate according to ESP…
There is no shot Zach Ertz plays this Monday against the Bears, per source. #Eagles

Let’s rap this up with some more Wentz, cause who the hell was I kidding? I can’t stay away from this kid. Here’s some winners and losers from the Eagles-Browns game thanks to our friends at BGN, and here’s The Ringer’s winners and losers from the entire NFL slate. Yup, Carson Wentz just seems to good at winning, and that sounds pretty awesome to me.
