Jon Marks 13-10-1 (6-0 last two weeks)
Jack Fritz 11-12-1 (2-1 last week)
After a horrendous start, the Philly Football Talk crew has bounced back the last few weeks. Jon Marks is a perfect 6-0, while Jack Fritz is starting to find his groove after another 2-1 week. HERE ARE THE LOCKS
Cleveland (+7) vs Dallas
I hate betting bad teams, but the Browns might be the best winless team in recent memory. Not saying they are any good, but they’ve lost by 6 points or less in 4 of their 7 losses. I think timing is also on the Browns side here. The Cowboys are coming off a huge comeback win over the Eagles on Sunday Night. They are the toast of the NFL and feeling pretty good about their 6-1 start. Perfect spot for a letdown. Cow
boys wins, but Browns keep it close
Carolina (-3) at Los Angeles
Normally with a 1-5 record, the season is over. Carolina feels different, especially after an impressive win last week over the Cardinals to get their 2nd win. in the past, they’ve shown that they can put a streak together and make a run despite a terrible start. The Rams, meanwhile, are terrible. This one should be easy today for the Panthers
Tennessee (+4) at San Diego
After ripping Marcus Mariota a few weeks ago, he’s went on a tear that has corresponded with the Titans winning 3 of their last 4 games. I like what they are doing offensively with DeMarco Murray and I think it continues today over a soft Chargers team.
San Francisco (+4.5) vs New Orleans
I don’t trust Drew Brees on the road and I don’t trust a Saints team, that I think is just okay, coming off an emotional win over the Seahawks coming out with the same kind of energy against the 49ers. To take this bet, you have to trust Chip Kelly and Blaine Gabbert. Bet at your own risk, but I actually like the 49ers in this spot and 4.5 points is a lot in this scenario.
Minnesota (-6.5) vs Detroit
Absolutely massive line here that makes no sense and that’s why I LOVE it. After seeing how Minnesota has played the last two weeks, Vegas really has the balls to almost make them a touchdown favorite against Matt Stafford and the pretty decent Lions? I guess so. I think Minnesota’s defense ramps up the pressure on Stafford and he has a Matt Stafford kind of day. Also, the Vikings figure out their offensive line issues against this sub-par Lions front.
Dallas (-7) at Cleveland
Last week, I thought the Eagles did about as good of a job against the Cowboys as a team could. They flustered Dak, contained Zeke and didn’t let the big play hurt them all that much. Now, the Cowboys play the Browns. I think Cleveland may be in this game for a little bit, but I don’t believe they will consistently be able to get enough upfront pressure against the line to 1.) get to Dak and 2.) stop Zeke. Smelling a HUGE Zeke game today. Dallas wins by 14
